Lap Hemicolectomy

A right hemicolectomy (right colectomy) for benign disease involves the resection of the terminal ileum, right colon, and proximal transverse colon followed by ileocolic anastomosis.The extent of resection required for malignant disease depends on the tumor margin. Laproscopic surgery have smaller incision and faster recovery time as compared to open surgery.
